    About TJ

TJ Ware, Marine Iraq veteran and CHANGE MAKER

TJ was born in Fort Worth, Texas to a hardworking blue-collar family and he was the quintessential middle-child. TJ was immersed in small-business and the pursuit of the American Dream from a young age, with parents and grandparents on both sides being small-business owners. TJ came from a middle-class community situated around the aircraft production line that is now Lockheed-Martin. He worked as a mud-boy on an all-hispanic brick crew at the age of 14, and also as a laborer moving houses with his family's business. He graduated from high school at just 16, and began working for the U.S. Department of Justice before his 17th birthday. As a clerk at the U.S. Attorney's office in Fort Worth, TJ witnessed the horror of 9/11 first-hand. He worked for the Justice Department on that tragic day, and the trajectory of his life was changed forever.

The following spring, TJ enlisted in the Marine Corps, and he spent his 18th birthday in basic training in San Diego, CA. Despite being one of the youngest men in his platoon, he graduated basic training as a squad leader and received a meritorious promotion to the next rank. TJ went on to be the guide of his combat training platoon and assistant class leader in aviation technical school in Meridian, MS. TJ Would deploy to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIFII), only 3 weeks after marrying the mother of his children. TJ was stationed in western Iraq during some of the fiercest fighting of the insurgency. He witnessed the horrors of war firsthand, as he and his squadron were on the receiving end of endless rocket and mortar barrages that cost the life of one Marine and gravely wounded several others. After his return from Iraq TJ struggled to readjust to civilian life and is eternally grateful for the specialized care at the Dallas Veterans' Administration hospital. TJ believes in taking care of the men and women who put their lives on the line for freedom and Democracy.

TJ went on to use the GI Bill to become a licensed and instrument-rated pilot, and began supporting and flying with non-profit and Christian missionary groups in Florida and the Caribbean. TJ and his wife went on to create several small businesses operating in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and several other states. During this time TJ was an electrician and roofer, working in the field. While running a Roofing & Restoration company in Dallas-Fort Worth, TJ observed the extreme injustices that homeowners endure during property insurance claims, especially after natural disasters. This inspired him to become an advocate for policyholders across the country, as a public insurance adjuster, working FOR the public, in claims AGAINST insurance companies. TJ went on to become a national speaker, business leader and influencer in the fight against fraud perpetrated by insurers against their own customers. As a board advisor for the American PolicyHolder Association and the American Adjuster Association, he has helped to create policy that favors consumers, and he has met with dozens of Attorney's General around the country in these efforts. TJ has been active in legislative and regulatory circles, fighting for the plight of Americans under corporate oppression. TJ then went on to co-found a Roanoke, TX-based data company serving the roofing  and insurance industries.

TJ also lives his personal life to the fullest, he and his wife went on to have ten (yes 10) amazing children, who now range in age from 21 to 3 years old. His seven sons and three daughters make him a major stakeholder in the future of this nation. Two of TJ's oldest three sons are licensed public insurance adjusters, while the other is an electrician. TJ is involved in disaster relief, and has served victims after major hurricanes and other disasters all across the country. TJ is also a lifelong advocate for the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged having volunteered at the Texas Veterans' Nursing Home in Bonham, TX, as well as being a board member for a Texas-based NGO (BESTWA) bringing life-saving maternal care, education, general healthcare and more in west Africa. TJ also served on the board of directors for North Texas Special Needs Assistance Partners, providing job and life-skills training, and advocacy, for adults with intellectual disabilities in North Texas.

TJ is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, boating, aviation, trivia, history, music and family. Please Donate today to send TJ to Washington!
